Our Story
Real syrup starts with real producers.
Every bottle traces back to a small-batch producer in Canada who still taps, boils, and bottles the old way — we just make sure it gets to Japan honestly.
We work with small-batch producers across Canada — professionals who care about their craft, tapping and boiling every batch themselves. We look for the same thing every time: people who'd rather make less syrup than cut a corner to make more.
What we noticed, tasting syrup from bigger producers, was how much got lost in blending — batches mixed together to keep color and flavor "consistent" year over year. We've never done that, and we're not about to start now. Each grade we bottle stays exactly as it came off that batch, tasted and bottled on its own.
That means the syrup changes a little from season to season, the way real food does — something we've watched play out for more than 30 years now. We think that's the point, not a flaw to engineer away.
What We Won't Compromise On
Three things that don't change.
Nothing added
Every bottle is exactly one thing: maple sap, boiled down. No blending, no flavoring, no shortcuts.
Small enough to taste
We keep batches small enough to taste as we go — quality isn't a guess.
Honest about the season
Color and flavor shift year to year with the weather. We'd rather tell you that than pretend every bottle is identical.
Taste it yourself.
Not sure where to start? Every bottle is worth trying.
